High Performance Mastery: Insights for Athletes & Professionals

One of the first things you may notice about Level 7 High Performance is that there’s two of us around here. We’re Nate and Paige Reeve, both mental performance coaches. As a former D1 athlete, Paige is the athletic mental performance coaching side of our business. Meanwhile, Nate comes from an extensive business and special operations military background and coaches high performing professionals.

The interesting thing we’ve found as we’ve coached our clients is that these two sides of the business, which may appear separate at first, have a lot more crossover than we initially realized. The traits that fuel a corporate executive are often present in elite athletes.

So we had an idea - let’s sit down and talk about it.

Meet our new video blog series, High Performance Mastery. In this first recording, we simply sit down and have a conversation about our respective parts of the business. Our goal is to share stories, open-ended questions, and explore topics about mental performance coaching and high performers to share what actually takes place when we work with a client or team.

We truly hope you’ll press play and join us for our video introduction to the series. Here’s a little snippet from what you’ll see:

High performing professionals and high performing athletes often experience the same exact things because we're all human, but in different contexts. So whereas an athlete might be experiencing an issue or a mental or emotional block in a game, someone in business is experiencing that exact same thing but in a boardroom or when a major deal is about to go through.

The first word that comes to mind, and it's in the title, is mastery. And that means pursuing excellence, or mastery, by finding whatever your potential is and getting to that place. A lot of people have great potential, we all have great potential, but so often we're living below it.
